Dr Dedee Woodside

Dr. Dedee Woodside is a highly experienced Managing Director and Non-Executive Director with a demonstrated history in environmental services, government, agriculture, and community development. To date, she has served on 13 governing boards and managed several organisations (government, NFP and For-Profit with Purpose)

Dedee is skilled in the application of sustainable development principles, corporate social responsibility, governance, environmental management, biodiversity conservation, natural resource planning, and Indigenous land-stewardship. Dedee is also highly experienced in the facilitation of complex multi-disciplinary collaborations and delivery change management for organisations and communities with a strong reputation for successfully building this capacity in others. In this regard, she founded and directed an international training institute and international consultancy working on integrated approaches to environmental challenges and community development in approximately 35 countries and similar challenges in the Australian agricultural and NRM sectors. 

Dedee brings a strong business acumen, a strategic mindset, and a capacity to navigate very complex issues especially those relating to environmental or community issues. This skill reflects the dynamic systems approach Dedee learned conducting early ecology research and undertaking natural systems modelling for her PhD. 

Dedee and her family own and manage a large conservation property at Barrington Tops, NSW and it is a significant part of the Gondwana World Heritage Area. The property and its developing programs are dedicated to environmental and social leadership.
